Haitian Pots
My great-grandfather was a pastor and missionary who traveled to many countries spreading the gospel. When he passed away, my family inherited several things he gathered on his journeys. My grandfather bought these hand carved and painted wooden scuptures. We were required to paint a still life so I chose this due to the special meaning and uniqeness. I arranged these objects in hope to create a piece that was well proportioned with no negative space. Highlights were added on every object due to the light shining from the front.
